Project teams

To progress transportation (pipeline and hub services) capacity trading reforms, the GMRG has established the following project teams:

  • the standardisation project team;
  • the capacity trading platform project team; and
  • the auction project team.

Standardisation project team

The Standardisation project team will be responsible for progressing the AEMC’s standardisation and reporting framework related reforms and making recommendations to the GMRG, which will then be consulted upon with other stakeholders.

Capacity trading platform project team

The Capacity trading platform project team will be responsible for progressing the AEMC’s recommendations on the development of a trading platform(s) for secondary pipeline and hub services capacity, with exchanged based trading for commonly traded products and a listing service for other products. The recommendations from this project team will be made to the GMRG, which will then be consulted upon with other stakeholders.

Auction project team

The Auction project team will be responsible for progressing the AEMC’s recommendations on the development of a day-ahead auction for contracted but un-nominated pipeline and hub services capacity. The recommendations from this project team will be made to the GMRG, which will then be consulted upon with other stakeholders.
